Founding members to play active role in running NDC

A founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Kofi Mintah has expressed concern about the lukewarm attitude of some founding members towards the party.

He reminded them that they had a stake in the party, and urged them to be up and doing to help move it forward.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Winneba, Mr Mintah said "The party belongs to us the founder members and we have to contribute our quota towards building it.”

He advised them to educate the public to know that the hardship the nation was passing through was not peculiar to Ghana but was a global problem.

Mr Mintah, who is a former Central Regional Chairman of the party, said it was organising an outreach programme to explain the current conditions in the nation to the people, and urged the founding members to get actively involved in the programme.

He appealed to Ghanaians to exercise restraint as the government tried to solve the problems, and urged them to stop discrediting the government as that could scare investors from investing in the country.
