The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Nanton Constituency in the Northern Region, Mr Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala is leading comfortably from certified result of 25 out of the total 26 polling stations .
Mr Murtala has polled 4,272 votes against that of his contender, Dr Salifu Yakubu's 1,405.
