NDC leadership calls on supporters to withdraw from collation centres

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed gratitude to its supporters for their vigilance during the electoral process, while urging them to leave collation centres across the country and allow the party’s leadership to manage the remaining stages of the process.

In a statement signed by the General Secretary, Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC acknowledged the commitment of its members in safeguarding the integrity of the elections, describing their efforts as “remarkable and inspiring.”

“At this juncture, we call on all you, our members who have dutifully stationed yourselves at collation centres across the country to now leave these centres and return home. This is the time to trust the leadership and the technical staff of our great party to fully manage the rest of the process,” the statement read.

The party assured its supporters that experienced professionals were overseeing the collation and declaration process to ensure that every vote is accounted for and the will of the people upheld.

“Our party's leadership, together with our team of experienced professionals, is fully prepared and equipped to ensure that every aspect of the collation and declaration process is handled diligently and transparently. Rest assured, we are committed to upholding the will of the people and protecting every vote cast for the NDC,” the statement emphasized.

The NDC urged its members to remain calm and united during this critical phase, reaffirming their shared commitment to securing what they described as “the victory that Ghana deserves.”

“Your role in this process has been invaluable, and we urge you to remain calm and confident as we continue to work in your interest. Together, we will secure the victory that Ghana deserves. Let us remain united, resolute, and focused on the goal,” the statement concluded.

The call comes amid heightened post-election tension, with supporters maintaining vigilance at various collation centres following the party’s strong performance in the elections.
