Supporters of Nii Noi sang and chanted his support whilst counting was underway.

Mr Addison responded to cheers in a tensed mood as Nii Noi’s supporters were the loudest.

Nii Noi after realising he had lost left the headquarters premises without uttering a word.

This was before the Electoral Commission officially declared the results.

The Deputy Greater Accra Regional Director, Mrs Angela Tagoe who supervised the elections went ahead to declare Mr Addison winner.

Mr Addison on his part did not also utter a word and left the party headquarters.

The delegates queued early Saturday morning to vote for their preferred candidate. The election in general was peaceful and went on smoothly.

Both aspirants said they were satisfied with the processes.
