Philip Addison wins Klottey Korle NPP primary (Video + Photos)
Mr Philip Addison has won the bid to contest as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Klottey Korle constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
He polled 396 votes representing 51.9 percent of valid votes cast as against 367 by Mr Valentino Nii Noi Nortey representing 48.1 percent of valid votes cast.
A total of 765 delegates cast their vote out of which there were two rejected ballots.
The rerun of the parliamentary primary was fiercely contested by the two great elephant members.
They sat close to each other by the table on which the votes were counted and observed the counting keenly.

Supporters of Nii Noi sang and chanted his support whilst counting was underway.
Mr Addison responded to cheers in a tensed mood as Nii Noi’s supporters were the loudest.
Nii Noi after realising he had lost left the headquarters premises without uttering a word.
This was before the Electoral Commission officially declared the results.
The Deputy Greater Accra Regional Director, Mrs Angela Tagoe who supervised the elections went ahead to declare Mr Addison winner.
Mr Addison on his part did not also utter a word and left the party headquarters.
The delegates queued early Saturday morning to vote for their preferred candidate. The election in general was peaceful and went on smoothly.
Both aspirants said they were satisfied with the processes.
