Reject Bawumia at December 7 polls — Mahama
THE presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has called on voters to reject Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia in the December polls to pave the way for an economic rebound through prudent management under an NDC-led government.
He said a vote for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate would be an endorsement of continued hardship and economic mismanagement.

“A vote for Bawumia means you are happy with the mismanagement of our finances, our increased debt stock and the current suffering. And so if you are displeased with what is happening you’ll have to vote them out of office,” he said.
Campaign tour
Mr Mahama, who is on a two-day campaign tour of the Western North Region, was speaking during a community engagement in Enchi in the Aowin Constituency last Wednesday to kickstart his campaign tour of the region.
The former President explained that retaining the NPP, which he said had failed the people, would mean backing poor governance and the economic mismanagement that had been spearheaded by Dr Bawumia who serves as the Chairman of the Economic Management Team.
He reminded the gathering of the present economic hardship and assured them of better days under an NDC-led government.
“The economy is tough for Ghanaians including businesspersons who were experiencing sluggish growth in their businesses,” Mr Mahama said.

This was after Mr Mahama ended a series of engagements with the Clergy and stakeholders in the creative arts industry in Kumasi on Monday and Tuesday.
Mr Mahama has embarked on a nationwide tour to share his vision and proposals for Ghana's growth and development.
His campaign, tagged #Mahama4Change2024, has taken him to various regions, where he spent days campaigning in several constituencies.
In the Western North, the former President has visited chiefs, other local authorities and opinion leaders while interacting with party supporters, locals and the public to campaign and solicit their votes in the December election.
Reset
Mr Mahama is seeking to sell the NDC’s “Reset Ghana” message to the populace, focusing on policies captured in the party’s 2024 manifesto.
