Supreme Court throws out Akua Donkor’s application to remove President Akufo-Addo

The Supreme Court has dismissed a suit by the Leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor which sought the removal of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia from office.
Madam Akua Donkor had prayed the apex court to order the removal of the two from office in relation to the expose on football corruption by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Graphic Online’s Gertrude Ankah Nyavi who was at the Supreme Court Wednesday morning reported that the court also awarded GH₵10,000 cost against Madam Donkor.

This, the court said was to discourage others from following her footsteps.
