Pay back Kenpong now - Kofi Manu

Former Premier League Board member, Kofi ‘Blue Blue’ Manu,  has lauded businessman Kennedy Agyepong for his contributions to the development of football in the country.

He said  Agyepong’s rare display of philanthropism and public spirited interventions had often revived hopes in very hopeless situations, adding that it was time for society to pay him back..

Agyepong whom is the   Group CEO of Kenpong Travel and Tours (KT&T), has contributed immensely to the development of soccer in the country, particularly towards the upliftment of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Manu, who was speaking on Sika FM, a Kumasi-based radio station, said it was time for society to recognise the good works of the man fondly referred to as the’ Capuccino’.

He, therefore, urged soccer fans  to patronise  theKT&T exclusive travel package which had been put together by Kenpong for the Brazil 2014 World Cup, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the women U-20 World Cup in Canada later this year.

“It is high time Kotoko fans and soccer lovers in general paid him back for his meritorious service. He has demonstrated real leadership qualities as Kotoko executive member.

“It baffles me when I hear people talk about track record. From a distance, I have realised his real strength lies in his ability to organise people and get things done with precision.

“He has handled and still handles tougher assignments, so I don’t think putting a package to airlift fans for soccer events would be a problem at all,” Kofi stressed

“Look, this is a man who has a genuine heart for Ghana football, I believe his works after the Brazil, Glasgow and Canada tournaments will speak for him and his competent staff,” ‘Blue Blue’ stated..

Kenpong’s love for football dates back to the 90’s when he together with Mr George Amoako,  now an executive  at KT&T led Kotoko for most of their continental campaigns  including trips to Angola, Morocco, Egypt, South Africa etc and a training tour in  Germany.
