Embattled GHALCA chairman, Alhaji Raji Ali, has finally thrown in the towel on his quest for re-election in order to seek fresh challenges elsewhere.

His exit from the contests sets up a very interesting race for the heart and soul of the league clubs’ umbrella body, with its former Administrative Manager, Kudjoe Fianoo, making a strong bid for the top job, alongside the incumbent GHALCA vice-chairman, Isaac Koomson, Kofi Poku, an executive member, and Nana Sarfo Oduro.

Ghana’s Black Stars are confident of making it three wins out of three when they host the Mambas of Mozambique in an AFCON 2017 Group H qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi and his flying Hearts of Oak squad face another tough test from Wassaman United this Sunday at the Accra Stadium following a vow by the former premiership campaigners to upset Hearts in their MTN FA Cup Round of 64 clash.

Accra Hearts of Oak yesterday continued their unbeaten run this season with a 3-2 win against Inter Allies in their  Premier League match played at the Tema Stadium.

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Kofi Nti Boakye, has joined Nigerian top-flight side, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, on a short-term five-month deal.

The workers participated in a number of activities including, a health walk, tug- of- war, five-aside football, lime and spoon, volleyball, table tennis and sack race.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded their first victory of the season after defeating Sekondi Hasaacas 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium yesterday to restore smiles on the faces of  their followers.

Kotoko laboured hard until Kwame Boateng scored in the 71st minute to hand the Porcupine Warriors a deserved win, having wasted many scoring chances in the first half against a difficult Hasaacas side.
