The Black Stars of Ghana will tomorrow play for pride in yet another epic encounter against the Pharoahs of Egypt in a final Group E World Cup qualifier at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The Egyptians have already booked the sole ticket in the group ahead of Uganda, Ghana and Congo who, per the standings before tomorrow’s clash, have eight points, six points and one point respectively. The Pharaohs lead the group with 12 points.

Sulley, Gyamfi headed for trials at Arsenal and Liverpool

Two members of Ghana's national under-17 team, Ibrahim Sulley and Emmanuel Gyamfi are scheduled to head out to the United Kingdom for trials with English Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool in the next four weeks.

The two young players of Rising Stars of Africa Academy have been linked with several Ghanaian clubs since their return from the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India where the Black Starlets were eliminated by Mali in the quarter-final stage last month.

The management of the Tema Country Golf club is working around the clock to get the course in good shape ahead of the 85th Ghana Open Championship slated for this weekend.

Captain of the club, Joseph Nettey, said after consistent action on the course and given that the Ghana Open Championship was the biggest event on the golf calendar in the country, it was important to ensure that the course was in very good shape for an enjoyable competition.

Football: Player registration starts on November 29

The process for the biometric registration for the 2017-2018 football season will open on Wedneday, November 29 and close on Friday, March 2, 2018.
