Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan came off the bench to score a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser for Kayserispor against Fenerbahce in an entertaining 3-3 draw on Monday night.

Gyan replaced Ryan Mendes in the 73rd minute with his side trailing 3-2 but a close-range header secured a valuable point for his side at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadi.

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye has been laid to rest at the Tangora Road Cemetery in Burkina Faso, two days after he succumbed to illness on Friday night (October 27, 2017) aged 37.

The service for the former Burkina Faso international, a practicing Muslim was held in line with Islamic rites, including preaching and a prayer to the dead led by an Imam.

In attendance at the ceremony on Sunday were a huge crowd of friends, supporters, former players and the highest authorities of sport in Burkina Faso.

After she crossed the finish line Saturday, Norfolk State's Martha Bissah waited. For 22 seconds.

The former Nottingham Forest and Bristol Rovers striker suffered the stroke in January 2015 soon after retiring from football, this subsequently led to Aphasia, which severely affects a person’s ability to use language.

Tight security for FA Cup final

Stringent security measures have been put in place by the Northern Regional Police Command to ensure an incident-free and successful hosting of the MTN FA Cup final between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The security arrangement put in place in collaboration with the various security agencies, is to ensure that fans, players, officials, dignitaries, among others, are protected and also ensure the free flow of vehicular traffic in and around the stadium.

Pride will be at stake tomorrow when old rivalry is renewed by Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko clash at the Tamale Sports Stadium in the MTN FA Cup final.
