Nduom bemoans sorry state of Ghana football

The owner of Elmina Sharks, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has taken a swipe at the Ghana Football Association after his side lost 2-1 at Aduana Stars last Sunday in the penultimate game of the 2017 Ghana Premier League.

According to the businessman, his side lost the clash because of poor officiating. The win helped Aduana Stars to win this year’s Ghana Premier League.

Hockey: Ghana off for Africa Cup

After two weeks residential camping at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium in Accra, Ghana’s male and female national hockey teams will fly to Egypt today ahead of the Africa Hockey Cup tournament which kick starts in the Egyptian city of Ismalia on Thursday.

A total of 36 players, comprising 18 males and 18 female were selected to represent Ghana in the tournament.

There was unrestrained joy at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park at Dormaa-Ahenkro after Aduana Stars earned a hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Elmina Sharks to emerge winners of the 2016/2017 Premier League after going undefeated in 15 home matches this season with one game to spare.

The Dormaa-Ahenkro club won 12 and drew three times at home to claim the league title since their maiden triumph in 2010.
