Ghana midfielder, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu says he has received and is considering offers from a number of Chinese clubs for the Chinese Super Liga.

Having played for Udinese for seven seasons, the midfielder believes it’s time for a change and with China now, the lost lucrative destination, the 26-year-old star says he may look that way.

Godwin Attram says management of Accra Great Olympics has refused to accept his resignation letter despite his decision to leave the club as a coach..

Attram, who qualified the team for this season’s Ghana Premier League (GPL) and who led the team as a player-coach for a greater part of the first round, was made a deputy coach when Tom Strand was appointed just before the end of the first round, as management sought to halt the unimpressive performance of the Dade Boys.

Elmina Sea Lions and newcomers, Kumasi Sports Academy Ladies have taken this season’s National Women’s League (NWL) by storm and pose a real threat to the aspirations of the giants in the competition.

Not given a chance, Sea Lions, playing their second season in the competition, topped the southern zone at the end of the first round, while debutantes, Kumasi Sports Academy, are second in the northern zone, separated by only three points from leaders and defending champions, Ampem Darkoa.

Saka ready to return for Aduana

Aduana Stars skipper, Godfred Saka, says he will be fit to play for his side when they welcome Liberty Professionals to their Ghana Premier League  (GPL) encounter at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park at Dormaa-Ahenkro on July 8.

According to Saka, he has made tremendous progress in his recovery and can not wait to rejoin his teammates for action as they pursue their GPL title chase this season.

Security to be upped for President’s Cup match

Security will be beefed up at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi due to the expected presence of the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at this Year’s President’s Cup between Ghana’s biggest clubs, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak,  on Sunday.

He and a host of ministers of state are expected to grace the match, annually organised by the Ghana League Clubs Association of Ghana (GHALCA), to celebrate Ghana’s republican status.

Jordan Ayew will report for the start of pre-season training with the rest of his Swansea City team-mates on Monday after being withdrawn from the Ghana squad for their upcoming friendlies.

Yakubu Mohammed described as  ‘great relief’ his goal that helped Kumasi Asante Kotoko record a 2-1 victory over Wa All Stars in their Ghana Premier League encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium last Saturday, as the team finally ended their winless streak at home.

Mohammed has had a frustrating season for the Porcupine Warriors, failing to meet the expectation in scoring the needed goals, but against Wa All Stars, he finally broke the jinx in memorable manner, scoring the winner which would also be Kotko’s 200th home goal in the GPL.
