Justina Nelson appointed acting CEO of Minerals Income and Investment Fund

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Ms Justina Nelson as the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF) following the removal of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng on Tuesday morning.

President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday revoked the appointment of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng as the CEO of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF), effective immediately.

The revocation, contained in a letter dated January 13, 2025 and addressed to Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng, was signed by Mr Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President.

In a statement issued Tuesday evening [January 14, 2025] by the acting spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu explained that Justina Nelson, who was a banker with over 20 years of experience has been appointed by President Mahama as a replacement but in an acting position.

Justina Nelson is currently a Group Head at Zenith Bank (Ghana) with oversight responsibility for both the energy and commercial banking sectors, the statement added.

She holds a Master of Law degree in Corporate and Commercial Law and a master's degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Ghana.

She also holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a degree in Management and Psychology from the University of Ghana.
