Adams's brace helps Medeama beat Vision FC
Salim Adams delivered a masterclass to help Medeama SC maintain their place at the top of the Ghana Premier League table with a dramatic 2–1 victory over Vision FC at the Nana Adjei Kraku II Sports Stadium in Tema last Saturday.
The former Hearts of Oak midfielder emerged as the hero of the day, scoring twice—both from set pieces—including a sensational stoppage-time winner that silenced the home crowd.
Vision FC took the lead in the first half through Faruk Mohammed, whose effort took a deflection before finding the back of the net. The opener, however, failed to deter the league leaders, who responded with increased intensity and control.
Medeama’s pressure paid off when Adams restored parity from a well-taken free-kick, drawing the visitors level and setting up a tense second half.
After the interval, Medeama returned with renewed determination, pushing relentlessly for a winner. Vision FC defended resolutely, frustrating the visitors as the clock ticked down and the decisive goal appeared elusive.
Late winner
Just when the match seemed destined for a draw, Adams produced a moment of brilliance in the 94th minute, unleashing a thunderous strike from nearly 40 yards that flew past the goalkeeper to seal all three points dramatically.
The victory keeps Medeama firmly on top of the league standings and puts them in pole position for the title, while Vision FC were left heartbroken after conceding so late despite a spirited performance.
