Afriyie: Hearts facilities top-notch

Newly signed Accra Hearts of Oak star, Asamoah Boateng Afriyie, has praised the club's facilities, describing them as among the best in the country.

Boateng, who joined the Phobians on a deal from Nations FC, believes such facilities are crucial for any player’s career development, and he is ready to utilise them to their full potential.

Speaking to the club's website after signing the deal, the 22-year-old expressed his admiration for the club’s infrastructure.

"Hearts is the only club here with all the facilities a professional club should have," he stated and emphasised his excitement about what he had seen so far.

Hearts of Oak, once a dominant force in the local league, narrowly avoided relegation last season. As part of their efforts to return to their former glory, the club has embarked on an ambitious recruitment drive ahead of the upcoming season.

The addition of Boateng, known for his remarkable performance with Kumasi-based Nations FC last season, is a significant part of this strategy by Coach Aboubakar Ouattara.

The club expressed their enthusiasm about Boateng’s arrival in a statement, saying, "A warm Phobian welcome to Asamoah Boateng Afriyie! We're thrilled to have you join the Hearts of Oak family. Let's make some history together!"

In addition to Boateng, Hearts of Oak has also signed Michael Mensah Awuah.

Announcing the capture on their social media platform, the club stated, "Welcome to the Phobia family, Michael Mensah Awuah! We're excited to have you on board and can't wait to see you shine in the iconic Hearts of Oak colours."

These signings mark a crucial step in Hearts of Oak's preparations for the next season, as they aim to strengthen their squad and reclaim their position at the top of Ghanaian football.

Afriyie had an incredible season with his former club, Nations FC, where he made 29 Premier League appearances and contributed 11 goals in the campaign.

The club is hopeful that with these new additions, they can make a significant impact and return to their winning ways.
