Andre Ayew for Ballon d’Or?
Gaffe-prone Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has been included on the Ballon d'Or shortlist and could potentially be named the best footballer in the world if a report from Spain is to be believed.
The 59-player list, which Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims to have obtained exclusively, also includes Harry Kane, David de Gea, Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez, among others.

Some of the other unlikely candidates for the prize also include Swansea's Andre Ayew and Leicester's Shinji Okazaki.
Of course, Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madird are represented more than any other club with seven players each. Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will be favourites to claim the prize.
Bayern's Robert Lewandowski must surely also be among the favourites after an incredible run of form that saw him score the fastest five goals in Bundesliga history.
It has been claimed on Twitter that the list may just be every player who has received one vote or more, rather than any of them being judged against each other, which would go some way to explain the inclusion of players like Ospina. — Telegraph
