Cavani scared to return to Paris
Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez says he has no idea whether Edinson Cavani wants to return to Paris after reports suggested the striker was unwilling to go back to the France capital following the terrorist attack last Friday.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker and team-mate David Luiz are reportedly fearful of returning to the city after last Friday's terror attacks, although the Brazilian landed back there last Monday.
Coordinated attacks on the city led to at least 129 people being killed.
Tabarez was unwilling to be drawn on the reports surrounding Cavani who reports indicate was ‘really worried about his safety.’
“I haven’t spoken with him. I didn’t know what you just told me,” he said.
“He is a player who lives in that city, so it’s normal that he's been affected by it.”
Tabarez added: “It’s a thing that doesn’t have anything to do with the match. I won't speak about it. And if I knew anything, I wouldn't tell you. Whatever he is feeling or any other player in Paris is feeling is normal.” — AFP
