Dr Adu, Lynn Michell win Homowo Golf tournament
Dr Frank Adu and Madam Lynn Michell proved too tough for their competitors by winning their respective groups in the Homowo Special invitational Golf tournament organised as part of the Homowo Festival being celebrated by the chiefs and people of the Ga Traditional Area.

The duo, who got a standing ovation for their effort, were presented with glittering trophies.
While Dr Adu had a net score of 77 to win the giant trophy at stake, Madam Michell won the Ladies version with a net score of 69.
With net scores of 72 and 74, Messrs Tony Mintah and Emmanuel Quarcoo placed second and third respectively in the Men’s Group A division, and received trophies for their effort.
In the Ladies Group A division, Madam Aku Yabah and Mary Prempeh had net scores of 72 and 73 to win the second and third positions respectively.
In the Men’s Group B division, Mr Kwadwo Ampomah, who had a net score of 67, was declared winner and presented with the trophy at stake. The second and third positions went to Messrs Jingak Chung and Amin Manekia.
In the Ladies Group B, Christine Furler emerged winner with a net score of 75, as against Peace Akwei and Mariah Bah who had net scores of 86 and 91 respectively.
Other golfers who received prizes for their outstanding performances were Dr Harold Agbenu and Madam Mary Prempeh.
Both were rewarded for coming out with the longest drive in their respective groups during the Homowo Special tournament.
Sir Sam Jonah, Mr Emile Short, Nana Agyei Duku, Mr Carl Brew and Mr George Yaw Amoah were among about 100 golfers who participated in the keenly contested Homowo Special invitational tournament.
