FA to investigate match-fixing

Officials of Wa African United and Techiman City FC have been summoned to appear before the GFA Ethics Committee on Wednesday at the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters Conference Room for hearing into a case of alleged match fixing.

The Committee has invited Nana Gyamerah Kwabena Yiakwan II of Wa African United and CEO of Techiman City FC, Mr Charles Kwadwo Ntim, to assist in investigations into the alleged match-fixing involving the two clubs during their 22nd week match of the GN Bank Division One League.

Meanwhile, all remaining Zone One league matches will go ahead as scheduled while the committee investigates the case.

Mr Ntim and Mr Samuel Otoo, two members of the Division One League Board whose names were mentioned in the match-fixing allegation, have opted to step aside from all activities of the Board until the Ethics Committee completes its investigations into the matter.
