GPL Week 13: Albert Amoah steals the spotlight as NASCO Man of the Match  

Albert Amoah of Asante Kotoko delivered a surprise stoppage-time winner against Hearts of Oak, earning him the NASCO Man of the Match award in the most anticipated fixture of Week 13 of the Ghana Premier League. 

Amoah’s decisive goal not only secured a 1-0 victory for the Porcupine Warriors over their arch-rivals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium but also underscored his pivotal role in Kotoko’s campaign.

The fiercely contested match appeared destined for a draw until Amoah capitalised on a defensive lapse deep into injury time, sparking jubilant celebrations among the home fans. His composed finish and overall performance ensured Kotoko claimed bragging rights in the thrilling encounter.  

While Amoah’s heroics headlined the week, several other standout performances across the league earned players NASCO Man of the Match awards in their respective games.  

Issah Yakubu of Basake Holy Stars was honoured for his dominant display in their commanding 3-0 victory over Young Apostles at Nzema Anyinase.  

Collins Kudjoe of Nsoatreman shone in their 1-1 draw with Dreams FC, scoring the crucial equaliser.  

Lucky Nwafor, a Nigerian international playing for Accra Lions, secured the award after his match-winning goal against Nations FC in a narrow 1-0 victory.  

At Tema, Frank Duku of Vision FC was recognised for his role in their thrilling 3-2 win over Medeama, despite missing a penalty.

Mohammed Aboubakri of Karela United claimed the accolade after his solid performance in their 1-1 draw with Bibiani Gold Stars.  

In Legon Cities' 2-0 home defeat to Bechem United, Kojo Gyasi stood out and earned the NASCO Man of the Match award.  

The goalless stalemate between Berekum Chelsea and Aduana Stars saw Edwin Kuffuor Asamoah of Berekum Chelsea emerge as the standout performer.  

Finally, in Heart of Lions' 1-0 win over Samartex, Ebenezer Abban claimed the award for his impactful display.

Amoah’s performance in Kumasi, however, remains the defining moment of the week, demonstrating his ability to shine under pressure. His seventh goal of the season not only lifted Asante Kotoko to a crucial victory but also solidified his reputation as one of the league's most dependable forwards.
