Gyan last year made a pledge to construct the 1,000-seater facility when he visited his alma meter while on holidays and subsequently cut the sod to begin construction in November 2015.

Before touring the facility, Gyan called on the headmaster of the school, Samuel Ofori Adjei, who informed him that the cost of the project was likely to increase marginally because of additional works he wanted the contractors, Wembley Construction Company Limited,  to add to the project.

The Project Manager, Robert Coleman, later took Gyan on a tour of the facility assuring him that the project will be completed before the end of the year.

After inspecting the Project, Gyan expressed delight in the speed at which the construction  was progressing commending  contractors for their efforts.

Gyan, who toured the site with his business manager, Samuel Anim Addo and his elder brother, Nana Opoku Gyan, later interacted with students and teachers of the school.
