"Jordan Ayew is in top gear"
Alfie Mawson believes his Swansea City team-mate Jordan Ayew has hit top gear under new coach Carlos Carvahal.
The Ghanaian has been in impressive form for the Swans since the appointment of Carvalhal, with the forward scoring three goals in seven appearances under the Portuguese.
His most notable strike came via a stunning solo goal in the FA Cup win over Wolves, which saw the 26-year-old beating five opponents before firing into the bottom corner.

It is not only his goals which have caught the eye, with Ayew’s work-rate and contribution to the team also earning plaudits.
And Mawson was quick to hail Ayew’s recent form ahead of Tuesday night’s clash with Arsenal.
“I think we are seeing the best of Jordan,” said Mawson, who scored the winner in last week’s Premier League clash with Liverpool.
“If you see what he does in training he is a different gear. He is really coming into his own.
“I think Carlos is putting a lot of confidence and belief into him and he has dealt with it well.
“We know what he can do and bring to the team. He is a top class act and he is showing that for us.”
