The walk began from Mantse Agbonaa in Accra through to the James Town Police Station and some principal streets and ended at the forecourt of GBC.

According to organisers of the walk, Obonu TV, they were determined to preach peace and unity among the Ga-Adangbe communities during the festive season.

The Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mrs Elizabeth Sackey, who took part in the walk called on Ga-Adangbes to desist from partisan politics in their daily lives to enable peace and harmony to prevail.

She added that this was the only way to ensure growth among members of the tribe as they seek to enrich their culture.

“It will be in our own interest to get rid of partisan politics in our daily lives to ensure peace, harmony and growth among our tribe,” She said.

Former rector of University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), Prof. Joshua Alarbi, called on the youth within the Ga-Adangbe communities to work collectively in the interest of its people since that was the only way to enrich their culture.
