Kenichi predicts another Aduana victory

The coach of Dormaa-based Aduana Stars, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, has predicted a win for his club in a return encounter against AS Vita Club of DR Congo in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.

Aduana registered their first win in the competition when they beat AS Vita 2-1 at Dormaa-Ahenkro last week Wednesday to brighten their chances of qualifying to the semi-finals.

Speaking on the local Dormaa FM before the team’s departure to Congo for the return encounter, Kenichi said his club had done what it could within the limited time to
enable it to win the match, adding that “our team is a lot better than the first time we played them”.

“I am hoping that we will get a win from there and bring it back home”, he said, while admitting that AS Vita are a very strong side which will be very difficult to beat. He disclosed that after the first encounter, he worked on his boys to improve upon the most important areas of the team.

“I promise that we will bring the three points back home,” he said, explaining that the team had done everything possible, including changing the captaincy and called on the supporters to stand behind the team even if they are unable to travel to Congo for the duel.

“Our players have pushed themselves to the best and we will bring the three points back,” he assured.

Meanwhile, referee Souleiman Ahmed Djamal of Djibouti has been selected to officiate the match which will be played at the Complexe Omnisports stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa tomorrow at 1.00pm.

He will be assisted by Berhe Tesfagiorghis of Eritrea and Mohammed Abdallah Ibrahim of Sudan.
