Ligbidi grabs MTN golf prize
Kwame Ligbidi was the toast of last Saturday’s MTN CEO’s Invitational golf tournament when his net score of 67 earned him the ultimate prize.
The young golfer who is gradually assuming the status as one of the most prolific golfer in the country achieved the feat playing with a handicap of two.

Ligbidi was the defending champion in the competition having won it earlier in the year at the Tema Country Golf Course.
S. K. Ayornu finished second with a net score of 69.
Other winners on the day were Joy Arkutu who won the ladies Group A with a net score of 73 followed by Ama Morgan.
E. H Hong who played with handicap 22 managed a net score of 70 to win the ladies Group B event, while Maureen Akuaku followed with net of 72.
In the men’s Group B, Kusum Appiah won on countback, having finished with a net of 68 playing on handicap 28, while his closest challenger, Hans Uekert, who played with handicap 24 also finished with a net of 68.
Akwasi Opoku also won the longest drive ,while Leticia Amponsah-Mensah won in the ladies category. Closest to the pin was won by Michael Darko and Ama Morgan in the men and ladies categories, respectively.
