The club celebrated this new chapter with a special tournament and inauguration at Madina Aviation Park last Sunday, showcasing many talented players. Ranging in age from 10 years to 17 years, the young footballers were later treated to a gathering at Hi Tabel Restaurant in Madina.

Mr. Frank Mawuli Soglo, Chairman of the Academy, spoke to the press about the initiative's goal to provide local youth with an opportunity to display their talents and avoid negative influences. He highlighted the Academy’s short and long-term plans, emphasizing a combination of education and football, with prospects for standout players to pursue opportunities abroad.

“We are a juvenile side, organizing under-10, under-13, under-15, and under-17 teams. We aim to contribute to sports development and promotion in the community,” he stressed.

Mr. Soglo also mentioned that the Academy plans to teach other creative skills, ensuring those who do not advance in football can still benefit from alternative vocations.

Mr. Richard Elorm Asante, the Academy's Public Relations Officer, noted the identification of many talented players who they intend to groom for the nation. He appealed for support from individuals and companies, acknowledging the significant financial burden of managing the club.

The Cardinals FC boasts a legacy of producing notable players, including former Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko midfielder, captain, and coach, Godwin Ablordey.
