We are committed to building infrastructure-based Hearts – Torgbe Afede says as constructors hand over Phobia House to club
The Executive Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has said that his outfit is committed to building an outstanding club in Africa with primary focus on making impact in communities.

According to him, this dream could only be achieved with massive investment in infrastructure hence their dedication to building the Phobia House, a three-storey complex, which will make full use of and derive benefits from the commercial value of the brand Hearts of Oak.
Torgbe Afede was speaking today at the handing over ceremony of the newly-built Phobia House in Adabraka where he expressed appreciation to the construction firm, Rema-Alma Company Limited for “the quality they have delivered and the timeliness of the job which have all met our expectations.”
“As I have always said, we have a vision to build a club that assumes prominence in African football while serving the community, while impacting the community and while making a difference in the lives of our people.”
“We acknowledge that we cannot do that unless we invest in infrastructure and this is a demonstration to our commitment to building a solid infrastructure-based Accra Hearts of Oak,” he said.
The Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State also mentioned that the club would soon commission the Phobia House as well as the Pobiman Academy which was also almost completed.
“Sooner than later we will be commissioning this place and soon after, we will be commissioning the Pobiman Academy as well. The two together is our demonstration of our commitment to building a pre-eminent club in Africa.”
He continued: “Of course, we have a secretariat that will continue functioning. What we have today will remain our commercial centre, again a demonstration of our commitment to ensuring that we exploit as much as possible the commercial value of the brand that we are building.”

He thanked the board, management, fans and other stakeholders, including the Ghana Football Association, for their immense contributions towards the construction of the project.
At the club’s Annual General Meeting in April this year, Torgbe Afede, who is the biggest financier of the club made ground-breaking announcements where he disclosed that more than GH¢22 million had been invested in the club at the end of 2023, including the first phase of the club’s training and development complex at Pobiman, which was 80 per cent completed with the second phase set to commence soon.
He also indicated that GH¢9m had been injected into the reconstruction of the club’s massive office complex in Accra, which was demolished in 2022 to make way for a new modern edifice.
The Phobia House will serve as a hub for development and community engagement reinforcing the club’s commitment to building strong partnerships.
