Mahatma scores again!

Barely a week after scoring in his club’s 2-2 drawn game against Harmakameratene FC, former Hearts of Oak striker, Mahatma Otoo, displayed yet another stunning form to score a brace in his side’s 3-0 win over Floro.

The Ghanaian international opened the scores on 25th minute, putting his side two goals ahead nine minutes later before Gustav Valsvik sealed victory for Sogndal just on the stroke of half time.

The team, which returned from a pre-season tour to the Grand Canary, Spain, where they embarked on a reconditioning exercise, are expected to stay in top shape ahead of the commencement of the league season.

Sogndal  finished 14th last season but the ex-Hearts  skipper is hoping to replicate his pre-season form when the Norwegian league starts in a few weeks time.

“I was very satisfied with my contribution to the team during the game because I know I played very well and everybody was talking about me after the game,” he said.

Otoo was signed by the Norwegian club for a reported fee of $450,000 from Hearts last season and it appears his devastating form has thrilled his trainer who is likely to make him the lead attacker this season.

The former best player and top scorer of the local league said he was looking forward to playing a significant role in the team this season.
