Mukarama returns to Hasaacas Ladies
The Malta Guinness Women's Premier League which has been robbed of some key players who have joined some European clubs has been boosted with the return of one of the game's most prolific goal scorers, Mukarama Abdulai, who has signed for former champions, Hasaacas Ladies, for two seasons.
Hasaacas Ladies announced last Saturday that the striker had put pen to paper until the end of the 2024/25 football season and would be available for the club in the upcoming Women's Premier Super Cup at Kyebi, where the five times Ghana champions represent the Southern Zone alongside Army Ladies FC, Faith Ladies FC and Berry Ladies FC.

Abdulai's arrival at Hasaacas Ladies comes as a timely replacement for the club's former top striker, Doris Boaduwaa, who recently made a move to the Serbian side, ŽFK Spartak Subotica.
The 20-year-old forward played for the Spanish side, Deportivo Alaves, and brings to Coach Yussif Basigi's squad an impressive scoring form to help the club in their quest to dethrone super champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC.
In January of this year, Abdulai mutually terminated her contract with Alavez, paving the way for her return to domestic football.
A product of Northern Ladies, Abdulai has represented Ghana at various levels, including U-17, U-20 and the senior national team. She has netted a total of 21 goals while representing the national teams.
However, it was at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay that she truly captured the world's attention as she won the Golden Boot for being the tournament’s top goal scorer with seven goals and two assists. In addition, she won the Bronze Ball as the tournament's third-best player and crowned her efforts by being named the 2018 SWAG Women's Footballer of the Year.
