New Edubiase United to stop Ashgold?
After a week’s break in the First Capital Plus Premiership league leaders Ashgold will seek to hold on to their grip on top of the ladder when they play away at their homegrounds against New Edubiase United at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium tomorrow.
Ashgold have maintained a three-match unbeaten run, upsetting title holders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and holding up to their own with no setbacks at home.

But New Edubiase United on the other hand, could be a handful for the ‘Soccer Miners’ even though they are not far from the bottom of the log. Lying on the ninth position, the New Edubiase-based side, who have adopted the Len Clay Stadium as their home ground, are hopeful they can end Ashgold’s unbeaten run, especially if the Nuhu twins and attacking duo, Fuseini and Alhassan, have a good day.
With Ashgold touted by many as the best Adansi-based football club, Sunday’s match could determine who really commands the authority in the Adansi area.
At the Kpando Park , visiting Accra Hearts of Oak will encounter a rejuvenated Heart of Lions in another dicey match. At the Nana Gyeabour’s Park in Bechem, Bechem United will clash with Medeama SC, while bottom club, Accra Great Olympics face-off with B.A. United at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In a week that saw the defending league hampions make the headlines for asking their head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, Kotoko will seek to put their boardroom issues behind them with a victory over WAFA at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
In the other fixtures, Wa All Stars will trek to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park at Dormaa-Ahenkro to engage in a fierce battle with Aduana Stars, while Sekondi Hasaacas will welcome visiting Inter Allies at the Sekondi Stadium at Essipon.
