More than 500 participants from some of Accra’s leading corporate office complexes took part in a vibrant mix of fitness and wellness activities to mark the maiden edition of Corporate in Motion, a large-scale corporate wellness initiative held last Saturday in Accra.
Participants, drawn from the Accra Financial Centre, Stanbic Heights, and the Standard Chartered Building, engaged in 10km and 5km runs and walks, as well as a 10km cycling challenge, among other activities designed to promote physical well-being.
The event also featured a calming rooftop “Yoga on the Tower” session, offering mindfulness and mental relaxation to employees.
The programme marked the first collaborative wellness event across the three premier Grade A office destinations, all managed by Broll Ghana Ltd.
The initiative, organised by LYF Arena, a wellness innovation platform under Strategic Solutions Plus Ghana, aimed to promote scalable health and fitness solutions for organisations across Africa.
Ahead of the main event, a month-long Step Count Challenge sparked friendly competition among employees of the three buildings.
The Accra Financial Centre emerged as Overall Best Tower, recognised for exceptional participation, enthusiasm and engagement.
Kwaku Asare Ofosuhene of Strategic Solutions Plus Ltd described the success of the maiden event as a sign of the growing appetite for wellness-driven corporate culture in Ghana.
He revealed that plans were already underway to expand the initiative’s scope and participation in the coming years.
He also commended key partners—Samsung Ghana, DHL, The Bank Hospital, Accra Metropolitan Assembly and Decathlon Ghana—for their vital contributions towards delivering a seamless and impactful programme.
