Presidential Commission calms nerves: Coach Sarpong
Coach J E Sarpong has lauded the conduct of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCI) on Ghnana’s campaign at the Brazil 2014 World Cup, saying it has calmed many nerves.
He said prior to the setting up of the commission, many were those who haboured all kinds of perception and misconceptions about the operations of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) but contended that so far the work of the commission had gone well.

Speaking to the Graphic Sports, the Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs coach said “Many people thought the commission was going to delve more into the administrative issues of the GFA and other issues which could incur the wrath of the world football governing body, FIFA but I think it has so far turned out to be a fact finding commission and it is clear their main objective is to see the best way forward for Ghana football”.
On the Black Stars and their abysmal outing in Brazil during the World Cup, Coach Sarpong said it was clear the players were over pampered, a situation he said must not happen again.
He was, however, hopeful that by the time the presidential commission completed its work, many Ghanaian interest in the Black Stars and football in general would have been revitalised.
He added that his current club, Ebusua Dwarfs, was keenly looking foward to the climax of the GFA congress in order to know the way foward next season.
