On-loan Liefering attacker, Samuel Tetteh cut-in on his right foot after tricking his way past a Rwanda defender to give the Black Stars a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute.

Rwanda grabbed a late equaliser with eight minutes to go for the visitors when substitute Innocent curled-in a free-kick past a hapless Razak Brimah.

The draw left Avram Grant’s side with a record of four wins and two draws after six games to top Group H at the end of the qualifiers.

Ghana had already qualified for the competition which takes places next year in Gabon with a game to spare and ended the campaign with 14 points out of a maximum 18.
