The camp, a flagship initiative of SEED Academy Ghana, will provide participants under 18 years of age with access to world-class coaching, mentorship, and workshops aimed at fostering their growth both on and off the basketball court.

Pops Mensah-Bonsu, founder of SEED Academy Ghana, former NBA player, and Basketball Africa League (BAL) Ambassador, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, saying, "We are thrilled to announce the upcoming SEED Academy Ghana Elite Camp 2024, a transformative experience that combines world-class basketball training with life-skills development. This year’s camp will provide young athletes unparalleled opportunities to grow on and off the court. We are also deeply grateful for the continued support from RITE Sports Services, whose commitment to empowering Ghana’s youth through sports remains invaluable. Together, we are shaping the next generation of leaders, athletes, and change-makers."

In addition to the camp, SEED Academy Ghana will host the inaugural SEED Sports Leadership Summit on Saturday, December 28, at the University of Ghana Business School.

The summit will feature notable basketball executives and players, including Pops Mensah-Bonsu and BAL Vice President and Head of Strategy and Operations, John Manyo-Plange. Discussions will focus on career pathways and strategies for advancing basketball development in Ghana.

The weekend of activities will also include a **Community Day of Play** on the morning of December 28, where the 56 selected campers will join 100 youth from local non-profit organisations at the University of Ghana Athletic Oval and Basketball Court. Participants will engage in basketball and other sports events, showcasing SEED’s dedication to community service through sports.

Founded in 2018, SEED Academy Ghana has consistently focused on combining sports with education to create leaders capable of driving social and economic transformation. The academy’s mission to inspire Ghanaian youth continues to gain momentum with events like the Elite Camp and Community Day of Play.
