Tagoe v Dogbe showdown gains momentum
Paul Dogboe, the trainer and father of interim WBO World Super Bantamweight champion Isaac "Royal Storm" Dogboe has indicated his son's readiness to sign a contract to face International Boxing Organization World Lightweight champion Emmanuel "Gameboy" Tagoe at super featherweight in July.
The war of words between Team Tagoe and Team Dogbe has been raging since the former stopped Argentine Fernando David Saucedo in less than spectacular fashion last Saturday at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
Spectators at the arena were not impressed with the performance of Gameboy despite his victory in the title bout and they drew unfavourable comparisons with Dogbe's KO victory over Mexican Cesar Juarez on January 6.

Team Tagoe were less than impressed with the comparisons and threw down a winner-takes-all challenge to the 23-year-old Dogbe.
“The contract is ready and I hope Paul Dogboe (father of Isaac Dogboe) signs the contract before he leaves the country," Tagoe's manager Baffour Gyan said in an interview with HOT FM.
“I am prepared to meet him at the airport to sign the contract before he leaves. Paul Dogboe told me they have a fight coming up so we should schedule the fight for July.
“The winner will take home $200,000 in this bout. As per the conditions in this contract, whoever pulls out of the bout will pay the $200,000, he added.
Dogbe's father told Happy FM, that his son will only be ready to engage Tagoe in the Summer after his WBO World Super Bantamweight title bout with Jesse Magdaleno in April.
“My son his ready to face this crazy boxer [Emmanuel Tagoe], Isaac will knock him out in round 5,” Paul said.

“It should be a winner take all, Tagoe’s camp said they will offer C$200,000 as purse, so we are ready to sign the contract, they have to make sure that the GBA sanction the fight.”
“The agreed weight is 130 pounds that is super featherweight, so they should make the contract ready, after our fight against Jessie Magdaleno in April we are coming for him in July.”
