VIDEO: Inaki Williams double sinks Djiku's Fenerbahçe in Europa League
Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams delivered a stellar performance, scoring twice to secure Athletic Bilbao a 2-0 win over Fenerbahçe in their UEFA Europa League clash on Wednesday in Istanbul.
Bilbao struck early, capitalising on a costly error from Fenerbahçe’s Samet Akaydin. A misplaced back pass was intercepted by Gorka Guruzeta, who set up Williams to calmly slot home after just five minutes.

Williams doubled his tally on the stroke of half-time with a thunderous strike that rattled off the crossbar before nestling into the net. The goal marked his fourth of the competition, cementing his role as a key player for the Basque side.
Mourinho's side struggles
Fenerbahçe’s woes deepened in the second half when Mert Mulder received a second yellow card for a reckless challenge, leaving José Mourinho’s team with ten men for the remainder of the match.
The defeat leaves Fenerbahçe in 15th place with just eight points, jeopardising their hopes of advancing to the knockout stage. Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku played the full 90 minutes but could not prevent his side from falling to their third defeat of the competition.
Williams’ form continues to impress, and his contributions are proving pivotal in Bilbao’s European campaign.
