The match began with a quick opener from Daniel Sosah, who netted a precise cross from Kairou Amoustapha just six minutes into play. Youssouf Oumarou extended Niger’s lead in the 29th minute with a remarkable strike from outside the box.
Shortly before halftime, Sosah secured his second goal, converting a penalty awarded after Mohamed Erneq fouled in the area. Ousseini Badamassi rounded off Niger's dominant performance with a fourth goal in the 51st minute, sealing the comprehensive win.
Despite Sudan’s efforts to fight back, they struggled to break through Niger’s solid defence. The defeat keeps Sudan in second place with seven points, though they remain well behind Angola at the top with Ghana rooted to the bottom of the group on four points.
The Black Stars of Ghana will go two points behind Sudan if they beat Angola tomorrow.
