Ashaiman gets Vivo Energy service station
As part of its retailer site expansion initiative, VIVO Energy Ghana, the company that distributes and markets Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, has inaugurated its new service station at Ashaiman.
The inauguration of the station brings to 138 the number of Shell service stations owned by Vivo Energy Ghana and the second station located in the centre of Ashaiman Municipality, which is a hub of commercial activities with heavy vehicular movements.
The Retail Manager of Vivo Energy Ghana, Mr Kwame Ackah, said the company was fully committed to growing and improving its businesses in Africa and this entailed the injection of capital for investing in new service stations and facilities and constantly improving the customer experience.
According to him, Vivo Energy has ambitious plans to grow the business in Africa and in relation to this, the company had built and rebranded over 100 new service stations across Africa last year.
“Vivo Energy Ghana is here to offer customers the very best of Shell products and services, including supply reliability, technical expertise and unmatched customer service. In doing so, we are committed to achieving and maintaining the highest health, safety, security and environmental standards and to deliver Shell’s high quality fuels and lubricants in an environmentally and socially responsible manner,” he stated.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Ashaiman, Mr Abraham Baidoo, said the Shell brand was one of the best recognised in the world. He could not hide his excitement about the siting of a big brand in the centre of the town. He also applauded Shell for employing local folk to operate the service station and advised the company to adhere to the industry’s standards.
