Bosumtwe Rural Bank holds AGM

The Bosomtwe Rural Bank, has held its 23rd Annual General Meeting to assess the performance of the bank at Kuntanase in the Ashanti Region.

The annual general meeting also coincided with a presentation of awards to 10 long serving staff who have served the bank between 10 and 15 years, for their dedication , hardwork and committment to duty.

Presenting the annual report , Mr Philip Bondah, chairman of the board of directors of the bank, said the bank recorded profit before tax of GH¢909,374.49 in 20 12 as against GH¢745,437 in 2011.

He said the board has recommended payment of dividend of GH¢1,198,813.58 representing 0.021 per share.  The bank’s stated capital showed  an increase of GH¢97,405.00 at the close of 2012.

Mr George Annor, a representative from the ARB Apex Bank limited, called on the management of the bank to put more emphasis on the micro finance programme .

He said banking is now competitive, and  called on the bank to emphasize the need for regular training and customer care service.
