Finance Ministry moves closer to Jubilee House in Kanda
The Ministry of Finance has officially relocated its offices to Kanda in Accra, with full operations set to begin at the new premises from Monday, February 9, 2026.
In a press release issued on February 6, the Ministry said the move forms part of ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency, coordination and responsiveness in the execution of its mandate.

Crucially, the Ministry clarified that the Kanda office facility was constructed by the Ghana Revenue Authority before the current administration assumed office.
"The public is further informed that the new office facility at Kanda was constructed by the Ghana Revenue Authority prior to the current administration assuming office," the release said.
The statement explained that the relocation was an administrative decision aimed at enhancing service delivery rather than a new capital project initiated by the present government. By moving into an already completed state asset, the Ministry indicated it was maximising the use of existing public infrastructure.
With the relocation, all official correspondence, visits and inquiries are to be directed to the Ministry’s new address at Tumu Avenue, Kanda, Accra, while its telephone numbers and email contacts remain unchanged.
The Ministry expressed optimism that stakeholders would continue to cooperate with it as it begins operations from the new location, noting that the move is expected to strengthen engagement with the public and improve administrative turnaround times.

It would be recalled that the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in June 2022 announced that, after years of renting office space for some of its headquarters staff, it had commenced the construction of an ultramodern and spacious office complex at Kanda in Accra to accommodate all headquarters staff under one roof.
It said when completed, the new GRA head office complex would boast of a seven-storey twin tower with a total office area of 13,725 square meters (sqm).
The office space is expected to be enough to host all of the authority’s headquarters staff, who are currently housed in the existing head office at the Ministries and six other rented buildings in Accra.
It said it was also going to save the revenue administration and mobilisation agency the payment of more than GH¢4 million in annual rent for head office staff alone.
