Trading data for the 7,189th session, held on April 13, 2026, showed sustained buying interest across multiple sectors, with the GSE Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI) climbing 3.41 points to settle at 7,949.78.

Market capitalisation expanded to GH¢248.26 billion, up from Friday's GH¢247.73 billion, reflecting continued investor confidence.

Total volume of shares traded for the session surged to 4,517,634, with aggregate value hitting GH¢20,245,819.55—the highest single-day value in recent weeks.

MTN Ghana dominates trading activity

Scancom PLC (MTNGH) was the undisputed driver of Monday's session, accounting for 3,038,826 of the 4.5 million shares traded—approximately 67 per cent of all trading activity. The telecommunications giant closed unchanged at GH¢5.50, contributing GH¢16,716,938.21 to total market value, with a closing bid price of GH¢5.52 and an offer price of GH¢5.77, suggesting potential upward momentum.

Atlantic Lithium leads gainers

Atlantic Lithium Ltd (ALLGH) delivered a stellar performance, surging by GH¢0.65 to close at GH¢7.20. The mining stock attracted significant investor interest, with 50,000 shares changing hands, contributing GH¢360,000 to the total market value.

TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC (TOTAL) added GH¢0.41 to close at GH¢38.50, while Clydestone (Ghana) PLC (CLYD) gained GH¢0.09 to GH¢1.20. SIC Insurance Company PLC (SIC) rose by GH¢0.16 to GH¢3.72, and Societe Generale Ghana PLC (SOGEGH) edged up GH¢0.01 to GH¢5.37.

GOIL records heavy trading

Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) attracted significant investor interest, with 132,062 shares traded, contributing GH¢1,038,007.32 to the total market value, though the stock closed unchanged at GH¢7.86.

Enterprise Group records marginal decline

Enterprise Group PLC (EGL) was the sole laggard of the session, shedding GH¢0.03 to close at GH¢11.63.

BOPP holds steady at GH¢100

Benso Palm Plantation PLC (BOPP) maintained its historic triple-digit price level, closing unchanged at GH¢100.00, with 1,804 shares traded, contributing GH¢180,400 to total market value.
