Taptap Send strengthens ties with Ghana High Commission in UK

Taptap Send has paid a courtesy visit to Ghana’s newly appointed High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Sabah Zita Benson, to congratulate her on her assumption of office and reaffirm the company’s commitment to strengthening the Ghana–UK remittance corridor.

The delegation also met with the Deputy High Commissioner, Aquinas Quansah, during the visit.

The company expressed appreciation to the High Commissioner and her team for the continuous support that has helped Taptap Send expand its reach and impact within the Ghanaian diaspora community.

The meeting also offered an opportunity to reaffirm a partnership that has seen collaboration on initiatives such as the Ghana Card registration drive abroad and community engagement activities across the UK.

Speaking during the engagement, Taptap Send’s Head of Africa, Mawutor Abraham, said the company’s mission goes beyond facilitating transfers. He highlighted that Taptap Send was committed to giving back to the communities that have supported its growth over the years. He noted that supporting diaspora-focused programmes remained a key part of the company’s long-term strategy.

Benson commended Taptap Send for what she described as its strong and visible presence within the Ghanaian community in the United Kingdom. She welcomed deeper collaboration and encouraged efforts that align with the broader goal of strengthening ties between Ghanaians abroad and their families back home.

As part of its ongoing commitment to customers, Taptap Send announced a 1.5 per cent cashback on all transfers to Ghana until November 24.

The initiative allows users to benefit more from their transactions while supporting relatives and dependents at home. The company said the gesture reflects its dedication to making remittances more fulfilling and accessible.

The High Commissioner lauded the company’s responsiveness to the needs of Ghanaians in the diaspora and urged continued cooperation that supports national development. She emphasised that partnerships between private sector actors and the Ghana Mission were crucial to enhancing service delivery for citizens abroad.

Taptap Send reiterated its pledge to focus on innovation, customer satisfaction and stronger community engagement as it expands its services. The company maintains that secure, affordable and reliable money transfers remain central to its work in connecting the Ghanaian diaspora with loved ones across the country.
