We’ll continue to fight for restoration of GN Bank’s licence — Dr Nduom
The Global President of Group Nduom and Founder of GN Bank, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has affirmed that his team will continue fighting for the restoration of the revoked licence of GN Bank by the Bank of Ghana in 2019.
He indicated that his office would in November, organise a series of surprise activities to continue to drive home their concerns and ensure that it obtained the needed responses.

Dr Nduom addressed the press at the Coconut Grove Hotel last Thursday to give an account of the tour of GN Bank branches in the Northern part of the country to ascertain the deplorability of the offices.
The Founder of GN Bank estimated that his bank had in total lost over GH¢7.1 billion including interest following the revocation of his company’s licence; this amount, he added did not include damages to the physical property, looted items in the offices, vehicles auctioned and bank lands illegally sold.
He said in all, over 300 branches of the GN Bank nationwide had been broken into with computers, power generators, bulbs, air conditioners, doors, tables and chairs, television sets looted; and about 300 vehicles belonging to the bank taken by persons unknown to them.
“We have lost over GH¢7.1 billion including interest. I am sure this asset could have been over GH¢20 billion if we were still in operation by now. The loss does not even include the damages to the physical property, and other property belonging to us that were looted,” he said.
Petition
Dr Nduom said although he had petitioned the presidency five times; thus, the President thrice and the Vice-President (VP) twice, he had not received any favourable responses even after meeting the VP on one occasion on the revocation of his licence.
He indicated that a later response from the Presidency to seek redress at the law court had not yet produced any results. He added that he, his family, bank, shareholders and board of directors had been cleared of any illegality in the United States of America following a lawsuit filed by people he alleged were sponsored by persons who engineered the revocation of his licence.
Confidence
The Founder of GN Bank stated that the collapse of the bank had impacted the economy as the contribution GN Bank made to the economy, including employing over 7,000 people, was withdrawn. That, he said, had also discouraged investors who consulted him from investing in the country.

However, he expressed confidence that the next administration would restore the license; while commending presidential aspirants who had publicly declared their intention to restore GN Bank’s licence.
