The free medical screening includes malaria, typhoid, hepatitis tests and drugs to supplement effective health administration for the children, among others.

The NGO also donate items including bags of rice, tissues, soft drinks, clothes, medical disposables among others to support the orphange.

The screening and the donation are worth over GH¢ 20,000.

The President of the foundation, Christiana Asiedua-Asiedu led a delegation to present the items to the orphanage.

As part of the donation, the group spent time with the children and advised them on possible career choices while motivating them.

The members of the foundation also had lunch with the children and other fun activities.

Donation

The Vice president of the Chrissy Foundation, Albert Kwabena Frimpong presenting the items to the orphanage, reiterated the group’s commitment to providing for people in need in society, especially orphaned children as they have to rely on donated items for their daily survival.

He explained that the gesture was to contribute to providing a safe environment and sound mind for the beneficiaries by ensuring that their basic needs were met.

The gesture, he said, represented the foundation’s commitment to making positive impacts in the lives of others particularly the needy.

Beyond the donation, he said the foundation had also embarked on skills training programmes for widows in various communities.

Gratitude

In her remarks, the Co-Founder of the Orphanage, Vivian Asiedu, who received the items, expressed gratitude to Chrissy Foundation for its immense contribution to the welfare of the Orphanage.

The items, she said, would bring hope to the beneficiaries.
