El and friends in concert
Rapper EL, will on Saturday, July 19, be the centre of attraction at the Alliance Francaise when he takes the stage at a concert dubbed, B.A.R.
Other artistes billed to perform on the night are Joey B, M.anifest, Kojo-Cue, Sarkodie, Edem, Lil Shaker and Gemini.
Organised by event management company, BBnz Live in partnership with Alliance Francaise, the show is expected to give Ghanaians a feel of rap and hip hop music on the night after Akablay and his Abiza band dish out some live music to patrons tomorrow Friday, July 18.
According to Mr. Kwame Blay of BBnZ Live under whose management El is signed on to, the show will create the platform for fans of the various artistes performing at the concert to interact with them.
“The lineup of artistes to perform on the day is enough evidence that it will be fire works on the day. They are young and energetic artistes who have their own appealing styles and I know it will be a competition of a sort,” he said.
In a chat with Showbiz last Monday, El assured his fans that he will perform all the songs on his current mixtape called B.A.R.
The B.A.R mixtape has 14 tracks and features the likes of Edem, Joey B, M.anifest, Sarkodie, Lil Shaker, Gemini among others.
Songs on the mixtape include Best African Rapper, Over featuring Edem, My Guy, Bar Man and Boorle.
Others are American Passport, Your Girlfriend Anaa, My People, Spoil Der and Saa Na Etiɛ featuring Joey B, Manifest, Sarkodie and Lil Shaker respectively.
“This is a concert that I have dedicated to my fans. It has been a while since they saw me in action so it will be a compensation of a sort,” he stated.
Real name, Elorm Adablah, El is an award winning Ghanaian rapper and sound engineer. He is popular for songs like Something Else, Ayayaa, Crazy love, Kaalu and Obuumo.
As a sound engineer and producer, he has worked on some of the hit songs like Sarkodie’s You Go Kill Me, Get to the Dance Floor by D Black and Asem’s Check Your Weight.
