The scene at the audition venue was that of sheer excitement as the contestants filled the Aviation Social Centre. Some of them were seen rehearsing in the waiting area while others expressed their confidence, saying they were fully prepared to go through the drill.

The judges for the auditions were Naomi Nelson and Parker, who are both experienced in Salsa and ballroom dancing. They were very happy with the turnout of couples who had come to be screened and selected.

The third season of the Close up Salsa Fiesta was designed for couples so the contestants came in pairs and at the end of the day, 15 couples made it through to the second round.

After further screening, only 11 couples successfully made it to the final stage. They will compete for the top prize in a 13-week television reality contest.

The successful couples who made it to the final stage are Bernard Korsah and Rita (Accra), Theodore Dabadji and Rosemary Eshun (Takoradi), Essence Kobby and Martha ( Accra), Tina Mensah and Kalala Obodai (Accra), Wallas and Ketura (Accra).

The rest are Esther and Daniel (Tema), Fianyo Eyram Ernestina and Derrick Aboagye ( Kumasi), Joyce Akoto and Henry Odoi ( Kumasi), Juliana Kelvinta and Dickson R.K.A. Amableh (Accra), Megan Mensah and Luumya Laryea (Accra), Pascaline Inkoom and Noah Doe (Accra).

The producers of the show, Charterhouse, have said that this year’s Close up Salsa Fiesta competition promises to be very exciting and highly competitive.

Salsa Fiesta is a Close Up tooth paste and Charterhouse project.
