Ghanaian actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo passes on

Ghanaian actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo has reportedly passed on.

Her husband Eugene Kwadwo Baah popularly known as Choirmaster of the popular Hiplife music group, Praye confirmed her passing in a post on social media. The cause of her death is unknown.

In a heartfelt tribute, the husband expressed deep grief over her passing, describing her as the pillar of his life and happiness.

“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo,” he wrote. “It would have been just like four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you."

“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever.”

He touched on how her presence continues to linger with him, adding, “I am hearing your voice right now, cheering me up as always, my number one fan. I promise to take care and continue everything we planned and started. Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever. Sleep well my babe.”

The grieving husband also described her as a “legend,” noting that her passing marks a dark day not only for him but for many who knew and admired her.


Meanwhile, in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Praye Tietia, a member of the Praye music group confirmed that the actress had been unwell for several weeks, with hopes that she would recover.

He added that the family of the late actress would issue an official statement on her passing.

Beverly Afaglo, born May 28, 1983, was widely known for her roles in several Ghanaian films and television productions. Over the years, she carved a niche for herself in the movie industry with her vibrant personality and compelling performances.

She has appeared in several movies over the years, including Return of Beyonce (2006), where she played Doris, and Crime to Christ (2007) as Sharon. In Girls Connection (2008), she also played Doris.

Her other film credits include Prince’s Bride, Never Again (2010) as Gita, Turn Me On (2010), The Game (2010), and Single Six (2011), where she played Kendra. She also featured in Equatorial Escape (2011) and Secret Burden (2012).

Additionally, she has acted in movies such as The King’s Bride, Total Exchange, PlayBoy, Big Girls Club, CEO, and About to Wed.

In 2014, she appeared in A Northern Affair as Biana and Bachelors.

Beyond acting, she was also admired for her presence in the media space and her connection with fans, often sharing glimpses of her personal and professional life.

Her passing comes just days before what would have been her birthday, deepening the grief among loved ones and admirers.
