Since 2007, gospel singer, Bernard Amankwah has always welcomed the month of September with glee since he has purposely dedicated the ninth month of the year to profoundly express his appreciation to God through his annual Celebration of His Grace concert.
And this year, Bernard and the Presence Ministry band, along with some of his colleagues, will lead Gospel music enthusiasts in uplifting moments through music when the concert takes place at the National Theatre on Sunday, September 21.
Bernard Amankwah, known for songs such as Your Presence, Mercy Rescues Me, and I'm Redeemed, says it will be a night of praise, worship, and inspiration on the day.
He will be joined by renowned gospel artiste, Rev Thomas Yawson, Dave de Musicbox, Roderrick Agyekum, Gina Bancram, La Famille, E’N Praise Incorporated and the Presence Band.
Interestingly, this year’s event breaks from tradition, as Bernard doesn't have a specific theme, unlike previous years.
Speaking about this year’s concert which is the 18th edition, he stressed on the need for Christians to stand up in prayer and always seek the peace of the nation. (Read Resist the urge for instant fame- Bernard Amankwah to young gospel acts)
“Irrespective of our challenges, I believe Ghana is a blessed nation and we should jealously guard the peace and stable security of the country.
“Last year, I used my platform to preach peace because we had an election but I don’t think we are out of the woods yet. We need to continuously preach about peaceful co-existence and let everyone understand that God matters than any other thing.
“This has been the goal of Celebration of His Grace, expressing gratitude to God and equally addressing very important issues in the society. I can assure patrons will have both spiritual and physical benefits,” he stated.
