Black Star International Film Festival here again
The ninth edition of the Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF) will take place from September 17 to September 22, 2024 in Accra.
This year's theme: ‘Tell Your Story: Elevating Unique African Narratives,’ aims to celebrate the diverse storytelling traditions across the continent and beyond. The theme is particularly relevant to African cinema as it emphasises the importance of storytelling in challenging stereotypes and celebrating the continent's cultural diversity.

BSIFF 2024 promises an exciting lineup with over 50 film screenings that showcase a variety of genres and narratives from talented filmmakers. Attendees can look forward to masterclasses led by renowned filmmakers and industry experts in Africa and the diaspora.
In addition to the screenings and masterclasses, BSIFF will host workshops in collaboration with KAP Film Academy and Nigerian filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan.
The festival will also feature the Africa Film Market, which embraces panel discussions, exhibitions and screenings aimed at fostering connections and opportunities within the film industry.
By providing a platform for filmmakers to share their unique stories, BSIFF aims to further amplify the voices of African storytellers and contribute to the ongoing renaissance of African cinema on the global stage.
