Ghana is a village - EL affirms Shatta Wale's slur
Ghanaian rapper, Elorm Adablah, known as E.L says he supports Shatta Wale’s statement that “Ghana is a village.”
According to him, Ghana will be a village when compared to some of the developed countries.
“Ghana is a village, but, what are you comparing it to… are you comparing Ghana to a country like, let say, one of the richest countries in the world, let say, Austria. If so, then of course Ghana is a village because we no catch up to that level of development, if you are saying you are comparing Ghana to Dubai, of course Ghana is a village, Ghana is a village in a village because we have not reached anywhere compared to Dubai,” he said.

EL also stated that based on his tours to some countries, he will conclude that the statement was true.
“It’s true, Ghana is a village, compared to what I have experienced…”
In an interview on Hitz FM, EL however told Andy Dosty that Ghana is quite developed than other countries, “if you are comparing Ghana to a country like, say, Sudan, Zimbabwe, we are quite developed…”
The Ghanaian rapper again stressed that Ghana is in a state of developing, and that “We have village life statistics, we are a developing country but we have the potential to grow,” he said.
Background
Shatta Wale, on Friday, November 16, 2018, cast the slur, insisting that “Ghana is a village”. This was at his Reign Unveiled concert at the Indigo O2 Arena in London.
While performing on stage, he paused and said “I just wanna share that word with you. Shatta Wale is a very nice guy. All that you keep reading about me on google from Ghana…Ghana is a village, say village, village.

While some have been bashing him for putting Ghana in that light, others think his statement was merely for comic relief.
